Lady of Gold, Sopdet is thy Name
The Queen and the Lady of the Two Lands,
the Great-one in the Sky, the Powerful-one on Earth,
Lady of Silver, Sopdet is thy name;
The Lady of the Sacred Places,
this is Her Horizon of Eternity’s Horizon,
No one enters the Palace without Her knowing,
She establishes Herself here, She gives thanks to Her city,
The Lady with Her offerings for Egypt.
Sothis shines, the Horizon in the Horizon,
Her heart is glad, all of the Ennead are in ecstasy
On the Summer Solstice, if you are standing before the Sphinx, you can see the sun rise between the two largest Great Pyramids.
Also, during Sunset on the Summer Solstice, the sun will shine through the western gate of Karnak Temple and illuminate the inner sanctum of Amun-Ra’s Temple as it has every summer solstice since the Temple was built around 4000 years ago!
