Fall Equinox 2021 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

I am very pleased to report that we now have over 2000 Donors and Members, plus their animal companions, from all over the world; from Ireland to South Africa and Canada to Australia, bridging both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. We give thanks to the caretakers and guardians of our Shrines, Sanctuaries, and Sacred Places; we honor your presence. To all Iseum donors and members, human and otherwise, may joy, health, love and peace be yours this day and for always.

The Love of the Goddess, our Mother Aset, Mother Nature, is the soul of our planet and the very essence of our world. The spiritual heritage that passes into our hands: to love the Goddess, to worship the Gods, to venerate Deity has been suppressed for a long time. It may seem a difficult task in a time that turns its back upon such matters, but consider yourselves as champions and remember that seemingly impossible quests have been successfully accomplished with the divine help that is with us always, and with the love that is poured out upon us from the Goddess.

THE EQUINOX

Whether you live in the Northern Hemisphere or the Southern Hemisphere, the Equinox is a beautiful time to review all that you have done over the past few months. Living through the Winter and moving into the Spring to plant new seeds, or living through the Summer and moving into the Fall to the Harvest.

Think about all the thoughts, worries, work and affirmations you’ve experienced these last few months. With the change of the seasons, you’re changing and releasing things you no longer need as you progress into the end of the year. In the North, trees are shedding their leaves as they no longer need them through the Winter. In the South, the green shouts are coming up through the barren ground, releasing their seed pods and growing into what? What are you releasing and what will be growing from the new soil? It is time to Harvest and Plant the energy of you.

We are experiencing the changing world; temperatures are hotter, there are massive fires growing larger every year; rains, storms and floods are unprecedented. Our planetary Mother is undergoing changes and we all need to live with more attention and intention to help our world and help others through the challenges we are ALL going through.

UPDATE ON THE SANCTUARIES

We were blessed to receive a large 1850s Second Empire establishment with a workshop and carriage house. It is located in North Quabbin Massachusetts, in the heart of a small town within walking distance to shopping as well as historical sites, parks and a large river. The buildings on the property had not been maintained for decades and were quite dilapidated. The roofs on the buildings were badly in need of repair and a tree had fallen onto one side of the main structure. However, it is a lovely property and the first floor is now our East Coast headquarters and parsonage. Slowly but surely we are restoring this property; the roof of the main building has been repaired but the remainder of the Sanctuary certainly needs more help. It is a big project and requires the expertise of plumbers and carpenters to get it repaired in order to have the upper levels available for transitional and permanent housing for those in need.

The Northern California Woodlands Sanctuary is an off-grid facility located in a sensitive wild life area a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Woodlands Sanctuary currently houses rescue animals – cats, dogs, and chickens – as well as watches over and protects wild animals including squirrels, raccoons, deer, turkeys and many birds. With the current drought and wild fire risks in California, we have needed considerable fire protection support. We are thankful to our volunteers who removed a great deal of the highly flammable juniper (which unfortunately cannot be made into smudges) and dead branches. In this area there is blight which has killed many oak and cedar trees.

Fortunately our animals are surviving through the heat and dryness. We are leaving out water for the wild creatures who no longer have access to fresh water in the open woodland spaces surrounding our Sanctuary.

We are quite grateful for our clergy member who has been the temporary caretaker of Woodlands Sanctuary, watching over the site and caring for the animals.

In 2019 we began construction of a tiny home hamlet at the Woodlands Sanctuary with the goal of placing 10 tiny affordable homes on site. The first home is complete and houses a young (formerly) homeless couple and their small dog. We intend to have at least 4 of the tiny homes available to serve as transitional housing and the remainder will be permanent housing.

The Iseum Sanctuary has many shrines and properties located from Southern California to the border of California and Oregon. Most of the properties are undeveloped however there are two large properties in Joshua Tree which have utilities and basic, somewhat primitive, facilities. We would like to build more tiny home hamlets but are lacking the person-power and funding to take on additional projects as the priority right now is the restoration work on the North Quabbin Sanctuary and the Woodlands Sanctuaries tiny homes.

FUNDRAISING AND DONATIONS

The Iseum Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 nonprofit religious charity that receives donations primarily from the proceeds of sales of three online jewelry and spiritual supply shops. These are:

Many of the items are made to order at workshops located onsite in our Sanctuaries. All of our saining smudge bundles are freshly harvested and made from herbs and flora grown at our Sanctuaries. All sales proceeds go to supporting our nonprofit Sanctuaries and to helping those in need.

At the end of June 2021 the artist Tszakacs designed a new tarot deck called the “Retro Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck” and donated the proceeds of the sales to support our Sanctuaries. This new deck is an artistic recreation of the original Thoth Tarot deck with enhanced detail and vivid colors, and includes 80 cards. These tarot decks have become very popular and are now available on Amazon. Here is the link to the decks:

You can support our Sanctuaries when you shop at Amazon by enabling “AmazonSmile” in your settings and choosing to support the Iseum Sanctuary.

STONES AND CRYSTALS OF THE SEASON

At the Equinox, consider resetting and releasing with citrine, aventurine, lapis lazuli, and/or red jasper.

Citrine has been called “the Light Maker.” Also known as The Merchant’s Stone or The Success Stone, the citrine properties of wealth and abundance are some of its most well known. If seeking abundance in financial or business ventures, this is the stone to aid in the manifestation. Other citrine properties are linked to the creative process. It enhances mental clarity and allows for the flow of ideas and visualizing.

Green Aventurine stone, known as the “Stone of Opportunity” and thought to be the luckiest of all crystals, especially in manifesting prosperity and wealth. Its winning energy makes it a great ally for boosting one’s chances in any situation – a first date, tax audit, even landing a promotion. This stone also helps release old patterns, habits and disappointments so new growth can take place. It brings optimism and a zest for life, allowing one to move forward with confidence and to embrace change. It enhances one’s creativity and motivation, and encourages perseverance in maneuvering life’s obstacles.

Lapis Lazuli stimulates objectivity, clarity and encourages creativity; it assists with self awareness, self confidence and the ability to speak one’s truth. Spiritual healing is enhanced by lapis stones due to their ability to reduce personal negativity.

Red Jasper is known as “the Stone of Endurance,” a gentle, but vital, stimulator of Life Force, bringing physical strength and energy, stamina, focus and determination. Its steady energy calms the emotional body, creating a lasting, stable energy for improving health or overcoming illness, setting goals and following through to completion, facing unpleasant tasks and having the courage to rectify wrongs.

You can hold your crystals and meditate on what you are releasing. Perhaps write in a journal. What are you harvesting? What do you wish to become abundant in, what are you growing? Its best to keep it simple and focus on one thing you really want. Let it grow and harvest the possibilities.

THE ORACLE OF DANA

“The earth has its jewels. For know that though the lesser cannot comprehend the great, yet the greater comprehends, permeates and suffuses the lesser. And this is what is meant by the immanence of the Divine Spirit. Many of you have sought urgently to rise to the heights and to meet Me there. Yet am I also found in the depths. I am the all-pervading Spirit that sparkles in the crystal, that is the treasure in the depth of the well, that comforts the lonely in heart, and is trampled underfoot by the proud who bruise the humble weed. And this knowledge also is the message of the New Era. The possession of the treasures of Nature without and within comes not through conquest, not through bitter struggles, not through suppression and rejection: but through the Alchemy of Transmutation. Growth is extension in consciousness.

Seek for the buried treasure of the earth, the jewels of Wisdom and Love. I will help all those who seek My aid.”    © Lady Olivia Robertson
